About this listen
No Easy Deeds is neither a time travel novel nor a rom-com, but it cleverly blends elements of both genres. Genuinely funny, nostalgic, and occasionally touching, it’s another gem of a story from the bestselling British author, Keith A Pearson.
Not that he's counting but, 409 days ago, life was rosy for Danny Monk. Today, the 3rd of September 1990, Danny's future seems almost as bleak as the British economy in the new decade - the glamour and glitz of the '80s replaced by a deep recession, crippling interest rates, and mass riots over the poll tax.
Then, by pure chance, Danny stumbles upon a new job opportunity. The prospect of becoming an estate agent holds little appeal but, as one of the two million unemployed, any job is better than no job. Danny accepts the role of trainee negotiator with Gibley Smith.
Little does he know it, but Danny's new job will result in the strangest of encounters, and an offer that seems almost too good to be true - complete a somewhat unorthodox challenge in exchange for the deeds of a detached house.
What Danny doesn't realise is that there's far more to both his challenge and reward than he could possibly imagine. For better or for worse, 1990 is destined to be the year that irrevocably changes Danny Monk's future.

Fun time travel-ish story
After just being released from a mental institution I can now provide feedback 🤣 IYKYK… well the book is one of the books that you go out your way to listen all the time, if you like Kieth’s books you’ll love this, the writing is very real and written in the way that make the characters come to life.. next book is already on a wish list

Cannot wait for next installment
Keith has knocked it out of the park again. Everything he writes has the midas touch.
The narrator was top drawer and i hope the author keeps using him.
I love the feel of these keiths books they always take me back to simplier times - im sure if the govenment could tax that nostalga they would. Keep it up and roll on spring 25.

The trials and tribulations of a likeable guy.
Whether you have read any of Keith"s other books or not, this is definitely worth a read. The characterisation of Daniel and the Gibley-Smith team has me putting Keith's follow up book:'The fourth Clause" into my diary. What will happen to them all next and will Gareth ever get a girlfriend?
A touch of time-travel with a bucket full of realism and intrigue. Also some great nostalgic context from the time period of the setting. Only one negative- I have to wait for the next instalment

Different but very good
This is a slight departure for KAP. I've listened to all of his books so far and will carry on with the future releases. This one is different but I've loved it none the less. More please! and soon...
