About this listen
I’ve always been a sucker for a guy with muscles and a handsome face. If that makes me sound shallow, maybe I am. I’ve never had a real relationship, unless you consider the guys in my Marine Corps Recon unit. I had a great relationship with those guys. Yeah, yeah, I know we’re splitting hairs. These days, long after my retirement from active duty, the only kind of relationships I really do now are with fictional characters.
I love to read, and lately, I’ve been frequenting the pages of my favorite blog, Bestreads, to escape my real-life job, one I’m not very well suited for. One reviewer on there—Nightcrawler—absolutely slays me. He always makes me laugh, steering me clear of some of the worst trash out there when I’m not trying to earn money as a bounty hunter. Maybe someday the right man will come along, and he won’t simply be a book boyfriend.
Someday.
Lately, I can’t get intrigued by any of the guys I’ve met in bars. Hookups are becoming less and less interesting for me. I’m a reader and of late, I’m also a half decent reviewer. I write exclusively for a blog called Bestreads, working under the name of Nightcrawler and I’m not ashamed to admit, I try to make them funny. In my line of work as a recovery agent for a big insurance company, I’m finding my off hours much more pleasurable.
I think about my next review and my next blog post all the time. Whenever I put up a funny two-star review, I dream of the guy who might be at home reading it, but pretty sure the kind of man who reads me, is probably living in his mother’s basement. Still, I’m a romantic at heart. Someday I might just run into him in one of my stories.
Someday.

Fantastic start to a new series!
This book reads as a complete standalone but fans of Patricia Logan’s Death and Destruction series will enjoy visiting with familiar characters.
Nightcrawler is a great enemies to lovers story with lots of exciting action. The chemistry between Raven and Miguel was scorching hot. They get into a bit of hot water but I knew that Patricia Logan would get them their well deserved HEA. I also loved the witty book reviews contained in this story.
The teaser for the next book was great and I can’t wait to read it.
I almost forgot to say what a great job Michael Dean did performing this book. His voice and Patricia’s writing make a great combination.

Very entertaining!
4 Stars!
Nightcrawler is the start of a new series for Patricia Logan and it's a pretty good one! I have to start by saying I loved Nightcrawler's (Raven's) reviews, they were hilarious and really set the tone for the book.
Miguel was a down-on-his-luck retired marine and Raven was a successful insurance recovery agent. They were rivals and Miguel didn't like Raven much at first. They were as opposite as they could, and yet, when Raven gets hurt, Miguel takes care of him and in turn, when Miguel needs help, Raven offers his readily.
While the attraction between Miguel and Raven was pretty swift and they fall in love pretty fast, it didn't feel rushed. They really worked well together and had chemistry in spades.
I loved their crew of friends, some of which we've met before, and I adored Raven's grandma. On the other hand, I hated Ned with a passion, and was very glad the whole thing with him wasn't dragged for too long.
Michael Dean's narration was top-notch as always. I was thoroughly entertained throughout the book with all the guys' shenanigans. LOL
The book was fun, fast-paced, steamy, and action-packed, there were a few things I felt were left in the air, but other than that, I have no trouble recommending it.
