About this listen
After the success of her debut Woke: A Guide to Social Justice, radical slam poet and intersectional feminist Titania McGrath has turned her talents to the realm of children's non-fiction.
Aimed at activists from the age of six months to six years, Titania's book will help cultivate a new progressive generation. In a series of groundbreaking and poignant chapters, she will take you on a journey with some of the most inspiring individuals in history, such as Emmeline Pankhurst, Meghan Markle, Nelson Mandela, Hillary Clinton and Joseph Stalin.

'Required reading for anyone needing an antidote to the mass hysteria of humanity's latest religion' Entertainment Focus
Often chillingly believable

I did find Mary Whitehouse and several other entries odd additions to the roster, seeing as she would have agreed with the modern woke on literally nothing. Doyle is of course making a point about censorship, but the point is dissipated somewhat given the vastly different historical contexts of the Spanish inquisition, debates over the license fee in the 1960s, and the current day bullying of women who don't want men in their changing rooms.
I was pleased to see McGrath's slam poetry make a return at the end of the book. It provided a much needed dose of levity that would have been welcome if it was dispersed among previous chapters as with the first book.
Alice Marshall is *superb* as the voice of Titania, and once again throws herself into the role with gusto.
Deeply disturbing, and sometimes funny.
