Loved this story and the narration was perfect. I got so much more out of the characters by listening than I would have if I had just read the book. A story that is topical and will make you laugh out loud one minute and cry the next. Would have liked to have slightly more of the story told from the mother's point of view, although the one chapter she was given was excellent. Highly recommended, but have tissues ready.

What did you like most about Me Before You?

I have now listened to this book twice and just love it. The story is so different and the different narrators for each character increases the pleasure in listening to this story unfold.

What other book might you compare Me Before You to, and why?

I have not read a book quite like this one before but Jojo Moyes does tend to have narrators for each character and this I love about her books.

Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favourite?

Lou the main character was the best - I could envisage her and her mad clothes because the descriptions were so vivid I could see her in my minds eye.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I have now listened to it twice in one sitting. I work from home and having an ipod permanently attached to me but there are very few books which I dont put down until they are finished - both of the Jojo Moyes books I have listened to now have been listened to in one sitting. The other was The One plus One - also great book and unique storyline.

This lady knows how to grip a listener.

Get these books and enjoy a few hours of well written and well ready stories - both so different from each other and other books I have listened to our the last 20+ years

A lovely performance by all the actors. The story made me weep loads, not to be ready in public spaces!! But it's not depressing or anything, it's a very nice and funny love story.

An astonishingly good and thought-provoking read. And Jo Hall does an amazing job! This book isn't the easiest thing I've ever read but it was worth it. It is a roller coaster of emotions and I laughed out loud many times ... Oh, and cried a few times too. Louisa Clarke is a strong character, colourfully portrayed and instantly likeable. Moyes does a remarkable job of writing consistent characters, without ever sliding into cliche or easy audience-pleasing. She has written a masterpiece, and I'd never use that word lightly.

There is no other book I can compare this to. It is unique and utterly stunning.

I haven't listened to this narrator before but thought she was excelllent.

This book was compelling listening. I was desperate to spend time listening to it but bereft when I finished it.

I absolutely loved this book and admired the character of Lou so much. The book was funny and also heartrending. One of the very best books and I can recommend it 100%. Looking forward to listening to "After You"
