About this listen
Thirteen Torland Place was the scene of five terrible murders in the nineteenth century, and also related to the disappearances of two teenage girls. When a student living in the house is found to be brutally murdered, Detective Inspector Joe Plantagenet is left wondering whether her death has anything to do with the house's grim history.
As other similar deaths come to light, Joe fears a ruthless killer may be on the prowl - a killer who deprives each victim of one of their five senses.
Each of the tragic events seem to have a connection to Obediah Shrowton, an executed murderer whose presence still seems to linger in the house. Could he be the source of evil, or is there an even more sinister explanation yet to be unearthed?
A real good read

Would you consider the audio edition of Kissing the Demons to be better than the print version?
A Bit of a nonsensical question really, but as I don't have the printed version nor do I have the time to sit and read it, I cannot compareWho was your favorite character and why?
Joe Plantagenet, although sometimes the continued references to his past can become irksomeWhat didn’t you like about Gordon Griffin’s performance?
I have been irked before with Gordon Griffin and what sounds like lack of preparation in parts of some audio books he has narrated. I am half way through Kissing the Demons and it is hard going. Mr Griffin's narration is slow and monotonous with little change in voice between characters and descriptive text. I am finding it unusually difficult (with a Kate Ellis book) to get drawn in.Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Unusually no, this is the first book from Kate Elllis that I haven't been desperate to listen to the conclusionAny additional comments?
I really like Kate Ellis books and in particular the concept of Joe Plantagenet with its spooky undertones. This on I have to say is not as good as I had hoped, but then I haven't finished yet so maybe there's hope. I am finding the extensive descriptive text and in particular revising JP past life on more than one occasion very annoying.Monotonous Narration
