It’s… ok for sure. But these “best book I’ve read all year” reviews are massively over doing it. The book is simply just...OK. The story’s OK. The twists and turns are good but more… oh yeah "ok"..rather than actually shocking or even unexpected. None of the characters are hugely sympathetic or likeable so you sort of don't care about anyone...except for baby Bella...and you'd be a monster not to! It’s just "ok" to be honest and I wouldn’t buy another from the author. Perhaps that says it all

I absolutely LOVED this book. I listen to a lot of books and this is my favourite out of any of them over the last few years. It was such a unique and entertaining storyline - so relevant to the current times and quote thought provoking. I saw a bad review below that made no sense. The entire story was constant action and entertainment and it was certainly not left to the end. And one of the things I liked best was actually that I could tell the difference between all the narrated voices as I usually struggle with that in audio books. If you can’t keep up then you aren’t listening properly. Each character was really built up and brought to life so I had no trouble following the storyline. I love all of this author’s books but this is the best one in my opinion. I’m raging there isn’t another book of hers to listen to now!

Loved the plot and characterisation. Brilliant plot twists which had me holding my breath at times. The narrator Jessica Regan is outstanding also.

This has to be one of the most entertaining stories I have listened to this year and I’ve listened to a lot! My favourite by this author, I was looking forward to her new book and she didn’t disappoint. I was gripped from the first chapter, who would have thought a text message to the wrong group could cause so much drama and create such a great story which I highly recommend. Just when I was struggling to find a good listen this beauty came along.

This book had me hooked from the start. The twists were clever, and I loved how the story slowly unraveled. Andrea Mara captures grief and tension so well—I couldn’t stop reading. A brilliant, fast-paced thriller that really stays with you.
