Step back to Jack and Ethan's first Christmas season and the tentative early months of their relationship under the world's spotlight.
Three months into Ethan's transfer-in-exile in Des Moines, Iowa, the pressures of dating Jack, the president of the United States, start to wear Ethan down. His weeks are measured by the days he works in Iowa, chasing counterfeiters and financial crimes, and the weekends he manages to steal with Jack back in DC. The media stalks his every move; he's isolated by his coworkers and loneliness hammers at his heart.
In DC, Jack tries to piece together a global alliance to take down the Caliphate, while the world seems focused on tearing apart his personal life. Four stars for the audio. John Solo really does cheesy language well, but still makes me cringe sometimes at his OTT narration.

Well, one thing you can't deny about these two is that they love each other...deeply and irrevocably. The secret service bear was such a puddle of goo touch too 🧡...really enjoyed the story. 4.5 stars, many thanks Tal.

🎧 Interlude played to John Solo's sincere narrative style: his ability to convey kindness, tenderness, love on one hand and on the other, arousal, lust, passion in a classy way. JS transmutes cheesy language into soulful declarations and grounds implausible scenes, so that you (mostly) believe it. John also conveys baser emotions sympathetically: you get it (mistrust) or know it (homophobic disdain) or sympathise (Sunday Blues). True, Solo's Russian accent is awful and his odd modulation needs getting used to. I paid these no mind because Interlude's sweetness played to Mr. Solo's strengths.
