The perfect starting point!

I’ve often been stuck with decision paralysis on which adhd book to start with (adhd lol). But picked this one after hearing the author speak on a podcast and don’t regret it.

What this book is, is a journey through the many real life challenges people with adhd face, some familiar and some less obvious. Presented in funny, quirky way by the author that makes it more engaging for people with adhd. (Maybe annoying for some)

Finishing it, it has made my next steps to managing adhd more clear, shed light on areas that I didn’t realise were adhd related, also made me more positive, despite some hard truths the book presents.

What this book isn’t, is a detailed “how to adhd” one size fits all system, as the title might suggest. Because it doesn’t exist. I found it’s honesty refreshing and has inspired me to search out solutions from a wide number of recommendations that work for me.

A helpful guide to understand adhd

I found this book really helpful. Adhd has a lot of stigma and this book tackles this issue in a relatable and slightly humorous way. Its was a great read.

inspectional

I found this book inspiring. As a heart as Jessica describes it (someone who loves some who has ADHD but not themselves). This book helped me understand what my 6 year old could be going through and gave me more understanding. I've followed How to ADHD on YouTube for over a year now, and would highly recommend checking it out if you haven't already.

Everyone, ADHD or not, should read/listen to this book

As an ADHD who was only diagnosed at 50, I totally connected with much in this book. I laughed, sometimes cried, but above all finished it determined to be kinder to myself.

Powerful, informative and inspiring

My ADHD brain loved this book. I often read ADHD books and fail to learn anything new. This book is so ADHD friendly that I’m actually going to order a hard copy to share with my (mostly) neurodivergent family. It strikes the balance between recognising the very real challenges ADHDers experience and positively.
If you want to learn more or find a relatable book, read this!

Perfect for ADHD Brains & The Hearts who love them - listen if you think you have ADHD

Great, informative book full of research and facts and sprinkled with andecdotes to add some much needed human experience to the mix. I loved this book, and it's helped me understand a few of my quirks and why I have them. I love that this is available in an engaging audiobook so it doesn't become another dusty tome I've gotten halfway through. Author really knows how to engage her audience on their level!

The best book for people with ADHD

This book is great. I've been reminded about things I forget which has helped me in so many ways. It's easy to understand and overall I would totally recommend this book.
