The path from retail middle management to inter-dimensional wizard adventurer wasn’t easy.

Fantastic book
Loved it! if you liked the first then you will absolutely like the second. So don't put it off and do yourself a favour by listening to this fantastic book.

liked it so much I listened to it twice in a row. Kind of like a guilty pleasure. Great narrator (naff British accents) fun story.

Totally awesome!
Just the right blend of game mechanics and stats. Really good story with a main character that is consistently smart, quick witted and emotional depth. The fact that the narrator has a Australian accent as the MC really brings the MC to life.

Brilliant, original and gripping
I couldn’t put this or the first book in this series down; always the best sign of a great book. I love the concept and find myself genuinely interested each time a new power in unveiled. The character building, story line and overall concept all fantastic. I like the narrator too, he’s able to inject the humour very well. Overall, one of the best series I have come across since Harry Potter and Enders Game… can’t wait for book #3, will happily re-read the first two closer to the time.
P.s. book title almost put me off downloading but so pleased I gave it a go!

Amazing book. The story is very well written. The characters are deep and complex. The narration is perfect, one of the best Iv listened to. 10/10

A great book
It was awesome. I binge listening in 3 days and it left me wanting MORE. The stile improved from the first book, the characters are better shaped and developed, and me personally, I could visualize the battles in my mind without a problem. Can't wait for the next one!

I'm sold
I'm sold. I was unsure if I would continue this series further than book one because I believed my issues with it were my own making and not the Authors/Narrators; I can safely say that I am sold, the books are fantastic and the Narrator does a great job. On to the next book!
