About this listen
Actor, singer...necromancer?
All the world's a stage...even when you're teleported to a new world.
Struggling actress Cara O'Sullivan was walking down the street of Galway one moment, and the next, she was in an ancient tomb in a faraway world. Alone in the dark with her cell phone as her last tenuous connection to home, Cara sings her favorite song. To her astonishment, her song casts a spell of light into the world...and from the depths, something hears her. Challenged by a ghostly knight, a tragic necromancer, and hordes of undead, can a young woman who does not believe in heroes become one herself?

love the story hate the main character
I love the wondering inn series so it was really nice to see another part of it. bit the mc was terrible. entitled, and over opinionated almost everything she said annoyed me. I hoped she would grow on me and I tried to like her but couldn't. I understand her just reminds me of people in the real world who I also struggle to get on with

the darker side of The wandering inn world
Pirateaba is amazing. Andrea Parsenau (?), makes it even better. if you like The Wandering inn, but look for something a bit darker, this is for you. same world, different continent. Not sure of the time frame, but a lot of things are recognisable and there are a few references to the other series. Without wanting to spoil it, I loved the conflicted morality and the fact that nothing and no-one is black or white, good or bad, powerful or helpless.
Can't wait to hear what happens next to Cara.

Not the Wandering Inn, a new epic in the making
More fantastic tales in the World of the Wandering Inn with characters that know characters from the Wandering Inn (a nice touch) but a completely different story arc. The main protagonist known as Kara drops off the pavement in Ireland and into a long sealed crypt with a single occupant. Escaping from the crypt she meets the living occupants of this new world and despite her misgivings stumbles upon the “abilities ” to be the Hero she never found back home in Ireland when she needed help.
Now I have 2 series from Pirateaba to look forward to.

You've got to like singing.
I really like the wandering inn series, the performances are good, the story is good, I just hate the singing. And yes I get it, it's geared exactly to that.

A tale of wonder, a tale of people
pirateaba and Andrea Parsneau come together in wonderful harmony, as usual, to deliver a story which builds and fills a world with people, their lives, and special moments major and minor. The pace carries you along just right without boredom or exhaustion. I can't wait for a sequel and am so glad to see this piece of the Innverse

Brilliant
Really enjoyed it, everything felt so familiar even tho you were meeting a while new set of characters. Was really easy to get into and flowed nicely. Narration was brilliant even the singing :)

Well written
Good story. Love the world. Singing wasn’t annoying. Will definitely read the next one. Recommend to anyone who listens to the wandering inn series.
