Flashman remains the great Victorian adventurer despite his very best efforts not to. In this, a less well known sojourn for the British army into Abyssinia, he once again shows his long list of skills to their absolute best - coward, liar, cheat, lover, the list goes on and never fails to entertain.

Slightly obscure Victorian history as it should be taught...

Great book, have loved the series and am heartbroken I'm near the end. the narration is spot on. I would highly recommend this to any fans of Harry Flashman

Perfectly fine as a time killer but the story drags a little from time to time and there are certainly better Flashmans to listen to first.
