No writer has ever made me cry with the beauty of their penmanship. the description of the two sister elephants was for me on a par with the greatest painter, or sculptor. I l9ved the whole story, Africa came alive for me. the narrator gets full marks too. Great book.

I love Wilbur Smiths stories, this one was no exception until I got to the end. He got to fight his enemy about 9 minutes before the end of the book and finally bested him LITERALLY seconds before the book ended!!!! like, what??????
The last sentence was, "he died, the end" type of thing. No wrapping up of the plot at all. I was gutted 😢

A really great thrilling story by Wilbur Smith. Although written 30 years ago, still very topical. Excellent performance by Joe Jameson - where does he produce those voices from?!

I loved this audiobook. The story was great, fast paced and held some interesting facts. The narrator was brilliant and brought the characters to life. So good.

please, please, if the people producing this book do not know how to pronounce locations then research them. as a ex Zimbabwean and from the location set in this book l found it difficult to listen to such badly pronounced locations

Adventure filled story like we’ve come to be accustomed to from Wilbur Smith. Good mix of fictional and real places in the narrative keep the listener guessing as to where the story is set. Well narrated if you can get passed the tragically poor Swahili pronunciations.
