About this listen
Lief, Barda, and Jasmine are on a perilous quest to find the seven lost gems of the magic belt of Deltora. Only when all the gems have been restored to the belt can Deltora be freed from the tyranny of the evil Shadow Lord. Four gems have been found. Now, though grave news reaches Lief from home, and he longs to return, the quest must continue. To find the fifth stone the heroes must venture almost to the border of the Shadowlands, and plunge into the darkness and terror of the realm of the monstrous toad Gellick - Dread Mountain.

Neverending Story meets Spiderwick Chronicles
Would you consider the audio edition of Dread Mountain to be better than the print version?
Ron Haddrick definitely has a great gift for bringing stories to life, as well as for keeping you on the edge of your seat throughout, so I would have to answer with a resounding “yes!”
Who was your favourite character and why?
The Kin were my favourite characters as they reminded me of a certain famous, pink luckdragon from my childhood, (I still love you Falkor!)
Which character – as performed by Ron Haddrick – was your favourite?
Haddrick narrates an excellent Barda throughout the entire series, though his portrayal of the Gnomes in this book was very comical!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The trio decide to put the safety/needs of their new friend ahead of their own plans, and it was heartwarming to see these brave, unselfish personality traits brought to the fore.
Any additional comments?
Like quests? Adventure stories? Then this is the series for you!
Book five also happens to be my favourite of all. Enjoy! ^,^
