I loved it!!

This is the first book in the Vista de Lirio Mysteries series. I love Elizabeth Hunter’s writing! Julia is a fantastic character, mature, smart, and capable. I loved to follow her in her journey. The storyline is funny, and entertaining. The mystery is captivating. I liked the little romance. The cast of supporting characters is amazing. I liked Her friends Sergio and Dean. I love ghost stories, and this one is very good. Ava Lucas did an outstanding job with the narration. She has a beautiful voice, and an impressive range of voices. I enjoyed it. This is a great start to the series, and I am looking forward to listening to the next book in the series. I highly recommend it!

Excellent Story & Listen🎧 Delightfully Enthralling

Elizabeth Hunter pens another fabulous paranormal women’s fiction novel, the first book of her new and exciting “Vista de Lirio Mysteries” series. I loved everything about this book, from the author’s wonderful writing style to the fabulous characters and storylines she created to the perfectly cast narrator who brings it all to life from the pages to your ears. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they are easy to care about too. Julia Brooks leaves the hustle and bustle of the city to slow down and live a quieter life in Vista de Lirio, but she quickly learns there is nothing quiet about Vista de Lirio. We are introduced to some interesting characters in this book, starting with Julia’s good friend who happens to be her ex-husband and his partner, through them she makes more friends, including the women who will soon be her partners in crime, or rather solving crime, Vivian and Evy. Julia stumbles upon a murder scene and she learns about her newly gained ability to see ghosts, starting with the murder victim, Justin, who was a riot and became her shadow. How do you get rid of a ghost, solve his murder and direct him to the light, right? I loved how everything played out in this book, the story is cleverly plotted with plenty of drama, a touch of angst, some humor and witty dialogue, mystery, crime drama, thrilling and suspenseful moments, heartfelt emotions and the start of a sweet romance. Elizabeth Hunter, thank you for another wonderfully entertaining story.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Ava Lucas is a superbly talented narrator and a versatile voice artist. She covers the roles for all the characters, gives each their own distinct voice, making it easy to follow along and tell who is who. She does an amazing job with both the male and female voices, switches roles and handles the back-and-forth dialogue with ease, never missing a beat. She has a complete understanding of the characters she portrays and sounds believable in every role she plays. You could hear how much heart she puts into her work as she captures all the character’s emotions and projects them into her performance and has you feeling every single one. Ava Lucas is a wonderfully entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another exceptional listen.
