About this listen

Perfect for fans of forbidden love, high-stakes games, and everything supernatural. Creatures of Chaos is a fast-paced YA urban fantasy series that’s being called The Serpent and the Wings of Night meets Crave.

Chaos, the vicious supernatural competition where heroes are born and riches are won.

To most, it's just an urban legend whispered in the darkest shadows, but that all changes when my best friend drags me into a savage world where vampires, shifters, and fae compete for glory and fame.

As a creature without magic, I’d be a fool to enter Chaos, but the prize—a dagger of untold power—could change my powerless existence. With that dagger, I could wield magic, earn respect, and maybe, just maybe, win the heart of the dragon heir… it’s a risk I have to take.

Now, I'm pitted against beasts in a ruthless battle with no powers, no plan, and an infuriatingly attractive ally who’s just as likely to slit my neck as save it. Every round of Chaos leads me closer to seizing my deepest desires or losing everything.

In Chaos, survival is the only rule. And winning is all that matters.

Couldn't put it down!

This book was so good. I absolutely love all things from Julie Hall.

This was a high stakes book with awesome trials. I loved the different aspects of the book and how one favourite at the start changed throughout the book. Ah, I was so torn, I was obsessed and loved every moment of this book.

I so recommend this book. I listened to this so quickly because it was so bingeable, and I just had to find out what was happening. An easy 5 star read!

finished it in one

Great book. felt like a mixture of the love triangle fromTwilight and Hunger games mixed. The style of magical games from Harry potter Goblet of Fire. that ones you enter the trials you are magically binded to see the games through

Forever Team Talon

Julie and her narrators do it again with an audiobook you won't be able to put down.

The characters are awesome and well written the FMC is unique but still relatable with her own weaknesses she has to overcome. Ensley her best friend is the comedic ride or die we all need. Becks is... Well, he reminds me of the guy you knew when you were younger that can't see you past who you used to be and Talon... Let's just say he's more than qualified to be your new book boyfriend.

Things to keep in mind is that this YA Urban Fantasy/Romantasy so if you need your books to be a level 4/5 in steam to enjoy them this won't be for you. But if you love great worldbuilding, a nicely paced story and awesome characters this is definitely the listen for you.

Breathtaking story and narration

This story is brilliant. An original urban fantasy, with teen angst, first kisses and the trials of high school. Just add a deadly competition, magical artifact and a love triangle.

The narration is on point and manages to convey the emotion believeably so you are transported to the world, feeling like you really are following Locklyn on this journey of self-worth and self-love.

The story reminds us that we don't need to change to meet others' expectations and instead are enough as we are!

The plot twist is a rollercoaster and right now I feel like not only are we being left on a cliffhanger, but more like standing on the precipice, forced to look down at the drop and waiting for the inevitable drop that's soon to happen! Bring on book 2!

Next level good!

Creatures of Chaos was an incredible ride, but it's brought to the next level thanks to the narrator's performance. She brings the book to life and makes you live, feel, and experience everything right along with Locklyn. And that's not to say that her male voices aren't good, because I loved Talon's. She also pulls off all the slight inflections and accents the different characters may have and takes you along for the ride (and then some, thanks to that ending). If you can, give the audiobook a chance. You won't regret it!
