I loved Bess it's nice to have an unusual looking lead lady with a big character.
I liked Alex better than I imagined I would, having listened to some of the other stories I had a preconceived idea and that was turned about.
Although I think the narrator is good, I would be more engaged with each story if i heard some different voices narrate; as when you listen to the series they become a bit similar.
