About this listen
Christmas can be deadly…
After a long year of crime-fighting, DCI Ryan and his team are looking forward to a peaceful Christmas filled with festive treats – including the occasional turkey stottie, or three. To celebrate a job well done, the entire team are treated to a party at beautiful Belsay Hall, a spectacular country estate on the outskirts of the city. But, when their dinner is interrupted by the untimely arrival of a dead body, they’re reminded that crime never sleeps – and nor do the secrets within the walls of Belsay.
It's time to find out who’s been naughty or nice…
Murder and mystery are peppered with romance and humour in this fast-paced crime whodunnit, set amidst the spectacular Northumbrian landscape.

Brilliant as ever
Intriguing from the beginning to the end. I am addicted to the narrator, clear and pleasant to listen to even with Phillip, Ana and the others accent. I hope LJ Ross doesn’t keep us waiting for too long to know about Ana, Ryan’s wife.

Another good story
I love the characters, however sometimes too much description particularly of the female characters. it's unnecessary.

Another cliff hanger…
Not sure how I felt about this story… a new departure with a 2 story theme and then the cliff hanger - is this just another chance to sell you into the NCT book - a little disappointed…

Noooooooooooo!!
She's done it again leaving us all hanging on with baited breath.
Another throughly enjoyable book, thankly not as heavy as the previous two parter but L J Ross has done it again leaving us waiting for book 24 to find out what happens next.
Yes it's shorter than some of the previous titles but no less fun and engaging installed with the regular bit of fun.

Cliffhanger!
Loved this, great narration as you’d expect from this author, just hope it’s not a long wait to find out what happens next.

Ok but getting repetitive
I was looking forward to listening to latest episode of series, but disappointed that it’s only just over 5 hours and getting repetitive.

Enjoyable. But too short.
I really enjoyed this story, and I eagerly await the next, with that cliffhanger ending. The only complaint I have with the recent books is that they are way too short. Started off at 12 hours long now I'm paying the same price for books less than half that length. Starting to feel a bit cheated in that respect. The narration was first class as always.

Felt rushed through
I have loved all the other book, this one felt like the writer was board and rushed to get to the end. Gutted
