The first part is very good as a thriller, the characters work and the feeling of impending disaster increase at a good pace then all of the sudden a mention of bad spirits and auras, then back to normal till the writer informs us that a huge bit of information that was missing from the original story, and no more mention of spirits or auras, then the twists begin to happen fast and furious but if you stop for a second to think the holes in the story begin to accumulate to the point where the last chapters are just explaining how it all went so crazy.

I would have loved this story if it had persisted in its first form, but the second part is just a mess that would require require religious degrees of credulity to accept as even possible.

The sound in this book was not good but the reading was ok, I think having a female actor play the women would have help to make it more realistic, the reader is not good at female voices.

Bunny boilers as a love story

I persevered with the book despite the annoying performance of the reader, continuous slow pauses in delivery, and inconsistent clichéd accents. Overall the story is sufficiently intriguing to want to see it through.

Good book / annoying reader!

If you could sum up Because She Loves Me in three words, what would they be?

Frustrating, twisty, listenable.

If you’ve listened to books by Mark Edwards before, how does this one compare?

I haven't.

What about Napoleon Ryan’s performance did you like?

He has a great voice, but he annoyed me to begin with, with some of the other character voices.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

By moved, it would have to be frustrated! Just in general by the lead character and his character.

Any additional comments?

I thought the ending was a bit silly. I would have preferred something that wasn't just for 'twist' effect.

Strangely gripping.

An interesting story with good twists. Wasn't a fan of the Narrator unfortunately, found the female voices a bit off putting. The plot was good however having listened to 2 of Mark Edwards books now how he writes the police officers are quite poor. Good characters in a sometimes hammy but well written book.

Interesting story
