When 17-year-old Belinda Phillips falls in love with a handsome Anglo-Indian officer, she knows that he is a man she can never hope to marry. O my goodness me what a lovely story. DIlly Court writes such interesting stories describing the different backgrounds of people who lived during the time in which the story was set. There were those people who had little or nothing and those who lived in luxury. It was so sad at the beginning but gradually the lives of people who had nothing improved the ending was lovely. Annie Aldington is such a good narrator.
