This audiobook taught me that calming anxiety isn’t just about mindset—it’s about understanding and working with your nervous system. Through the Polyvagal Theory, I learned how stress responses are wired into the body and how short, daily exercises can help regulate emotions, reduce overwhelm, and build resilience. The 28-day plan showed me how to spot early signs of stress, apply simple calming techniques, and feel more grounded—even with ADHD, autism, or chronic anxiety. It’s a practical, science-based approach to feeling more in control and less reactive in everyday life.

I had the opportunity to listen to this book and I'm glad I did. I've been curious about the Polyvagal Theory and the author does an excellent job of explaining what it is and how to use it to help calm yourself down. It's not like all the other books in a similar niche that just say change your mindset and you'll feel better. No, the author talks about changing your body by doing very simple little exercises each day for about a month. Those exercises really do seem to have an impact in helping me manage my emotions and with anxiety. Great listen!

I picked this audiobook ’coz lately I’ve been feeling a bit outta sync! like my stress responses were on autopilot lol. The whole idea of tuning into my body and learning to calm my nervous system sounded mad helpful. I was curious abt how the Polyvagal Theory could actually work in real life, not just in theory. This 28-day approach felt doable, and honestly, it gave me tools to slow down, check in with myself, and feel more grounded in the chaos.

It’s easy to get lost in the science behind polyvagal theory, but this keeps things easy to follow. It doesn’t overcomplicate things, which I appreciated. The daily prompts are easy to follow and gradually build a rhythm that can help you feel more grounded. I wouldn’t say it’s life-changing overnight, but if you’re looking for small, low-effort ways to support your emotional balance, it’s a nice tool to have.

This is a valuable companion for anyone seeking to reconnect with their body, manage stress, and enhance emotional well-being. It is a thoughtfully crafted guide that translates the science of polyvagal theory into practical, day-by-day steps for nervous system regulation and emotional resilience. It excels in making complex concepts understandable and immediately applicable, such as the vagus nerve, autonomic states, and neuroception. The sections on identifying your personal triggers and responding from a grounded, self-compassionate place are particularly impactful. The narration brings a soothing, steady tone that supports the healing nature of the content.
