I went back to school when I was 42 years old to satisfy my passion for medieval history. That PhD fueled my first published trilogy called The Vespers Series. Murder at the Leopard, a real tavern in 14th century Palermo, began my writing career and made my research come alive. Not to mention who doesn’t think about hoping bad guys get what they deserve?! After the trilogy I became fascinated with the Gilded Age, a whole new world to me. Being a native Chicagoan my two new novellas of murder and mayhem take place in the fascinating White City of the 1893 Chicago Exposition. My amateur sleuth? Little Egypt who was said to bring hoochy coochy (belly dancing) to America. I left the Rocky Mountains to live in the sunny climes of Las Vegas with two sassy black cats named Silver and Harry. My first full length Gilded Age novel Dancing with Death, set in New York City, is coming out soon. Little Egypt is already planning a trip out West to Denver and Santa Fe where of course murder does keep finding her. Will the unsinkable Molly Brown and Bat Masterson help her find the killer? Or is she next?
