After 42 years of marriage, my husband suddenly developed the annoying habit of dating, and I was suddenly single. I turned to wine, family, wine, friends, wine and writing. While raising my family, I reported for small newspapers in Colorado, freelanced articles for The Rocky Mountain News and published poetry in The Denver Post. I edited business publications and company magazines for a publications firm. I published essays in Cup of Comfort for Dog Lovers, The Right Words at the Right Time, and Writing and Publishing Personal Essays. As grandchildren began appearing, I wanted to focus on being Nana. But then my husband's dating habit appeared. Stumbling through the first months of suddenly single, I saw that life required cushioning if I was going to thrive. Humor smoothed out those rough edges. I now live my best life in Tucson, AZ chronicling my foibles and those of my sons, friends, grandchildren, dogs, and aging. Of course, I enjoy a glass or two of good wine each evening.
