P.W. Browning was born in Canterbury and raised in Scotland, but returned to the South East of England at eighteen in search of warmer weather. He now lives in Kent, enjoying sunnier days while still missing the rugged hills of his childhood. Over the years, he has worked in a variety of roles—including lab technician, civil servant, software developer, and even spent seven years as a caddie on the Old Course in St Andrews. A lifelong fan of fantasy, Peter turned to writing during a difficult period marked by panic attacks and social anxiety. Confined to his home, he used storytelling as both an escape and an outlet—and discovered a passion for creating worlds of his own. He is currently working on a new series, beginning with A Spell at Sea, and hopes to return to his earlier Stepping Stones project in the future.
