Nora Plesent is a lawyer-turned-mindfulness coach and founder of The Gathering, a retreat enhancing women's wellness through meditation, authentic conversation, reflective writing, and mindful exercise. Nora works with individuals, groups and corporate employees to prevent burn-out and to become laser focused and productive in their lives. Prior to her work in coaching, Plesent was a prosecutor in the Sex Crimes Division of the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office. After becoming a parent, she founded a multi-million-dollar legal staffing company with the goal of creating flexible work arrangements for women. Plesent also created the New Girls Network, an alliance of female leaders promoting the advancement of women in the workplace. Plesent received the Rising Star Award from New York Women’s Agenda in 2006. In 2013, the L.A. Lakers and Comerica Bank honored her as a Woman of Entrepreneurship. In 2016, she received the Highest Leaf Award from Women's Venture Fund, celebrating those who have made significant contributions in their fields.
