Business succession is my passion! This could also be the title of one of my next books. I come from a family of entrepreneurs and took over the management of our family business at a young age. This was followed by 15 years of entrepreneurship and a wealth of obstacles. Whether it was the generational change in our family, the purchase of companies or their subsequent sale. It was an exciting ‘learning period,’ whether in legal, tax, economic or emotional terms. I left little to chance with my parents and siblings And that was a good thing. Because that's how I was able to learn. Learn a lot and gain a wealth of practical experience. And at some point, it became clear that our family business was not going to be my future until retirement age. The birth of KERN – a future for life's work. In 2004, I founded KERN, a highly specialised consulting firm for business succession (company sales, generational change and company acquisitions) in the SME sector. We now operate in three countries and at over 40 locations with experts who share my passion for business succession.
