Marcus comes from a tradition of 125 years of missions history in SE Asia. His work has included developing a mission to one of the largest drug cartels in SE Asia and pioneering the first child-soldier rescue efforts in Myanmar. He has 25 years of professional experience working in challenging regions. He holds a master’s degree in organizational leadership, and is a certified business consultant. Marcus is a holistic leader, connecting the heart and the head to situations and operating with depth of spiritual wisdom and passion about hands-on praxis. Marcus is passionate about building strategies from Biblical paradigms and mobilizing God’s people to live the counter-intuitive approach of “loving your enemies.” This unique approach equips God’s leaders and people in conflict zones to expand God’s kingdom through reconciliatory acts of service to the “worst of these” like drug lords and rebel army leaders. These programs ultimately benefit the “least of these” like child combatants, tribes and villages caught up in conflict zones who otherwise have few options. Marcus operates from a multi-generational perspective rooted in insight on Jesus’ kingdom and justice. He has developed and serves his network of Justice Allies made up of justice focused organizations and leaders. He helps leaders around the world build transformative strategies to raise children as peacemakers in conflict, human trafficking and persecution regions.
