Krissie Lenahan is a passionate adventurer, meaning-maker, and advocate for positive change in the lives of kids, families, and communities. She is a wife and mom to two energetic boys (ages 11 and 4) who inspire her daily. Krissie brings a wealth of experience to her work as a high school Career Specialist and Work-Based Learning Coordinator and owner of Pathways Global Publishing, LLC. She’s also a former Family and Consumer Science teacher, foster mom, and entrepreneur, seamlessly blending her professional and personal journeys. Krissie holds a B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies (with an emphasis in Adolescence), a B.S. in Family & Consumer Science, and an M.A.T. from Seattle Pacific University. She is also a National Board Certified Teacher. Her career spans work in a small district in Alaska—one of the first districts in the nation to adopt standards-based education— to large districts in Washington and New Mexico. She has worked in alternative school settings as well as comprehensive public high schools, teaching life skills, career and college readiness, health, cooking, financial education, teaching education classes, child development and work-based learning programs for high school students. Growing up in Alaska instilled a deep love of nature in Krissie, and now, living in the Pacific Northwest, she thrives in the beauty of beaches and mountains, her happy places. When she’s not playing with her boys, hiking, traveling, or thrifting, she enjoys creative pursuits like making jewelry and painting. Her interests in health, parenting, and community-building inspire her work and writing as she strives to equip others with practical tools to succeed and grow into their best selves through life’s stages and adventures.
