SAVE YOURSELF A BOATLOAD OF MONEY. Don't book your next vacation until you've read my two new comedies on budget cruising, and prepare to be entertained by numerous misadventures along the way! In addition to the Kindle and print editions, Volume 1 of DON'T MISS YOUR SHIP! See the World on a Budget is now also available in audio! Join budget-minded Rupert Flange and his frustrated Editor (yours truly) as they travel to places as varied as Peru, Iceland, London. Edinburgh, New York and the Panama Canal – to ripple only the surface. HIGH SEAS LOW COST Volume 2: Don't Miss Your Ship continues with Rupert's zany adventures in the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, Asia, Australia, Polynesia, Alaska, California and Vancouver Island. You will find yet more tips and tricks for cruising in style on a budget, as Rupert and his frustrated Editor get sidetracked by a cast of seagulls, dangerous birds, bears, dragons, crocodiles and crazy humans! “Jam packed with knowledge and a boatload of fun!" In other news, I have gone back to the title of RESURRECTION for my best selling true crime book about the Kidnapping of Abby Drover. As the reporter who covered her dramatic rescue, I was amazed by her courage, and by the the note she hid identifying her kidnapper "IF YOU FIND ME DEAD." Unfortunately changing to a new title resulted in the loss of your greatly appreciated reader reviews on Amazon, possibly making it harder for new readers to find, but I intend to keep it for the audio book on Audible and iTunes for the time being. In RESURRECTION: The Kidnapping of Abby Drover, 12-year-old Abby mysteriously disappears on her way to school. Although she was trapped for six months in an underground cell, she bravely collaborated with the author 20 years later in documenting her true story of survival — just as her kidnapper was about to walk the streets again. FATAL PRESCRIPTION: A Doctor without Remorse (Updated in Kindle, Paperback and Hardcover) An out of control family doctor orders the murder of a teenage patient to stop her testifying against him, while the medical board fails to stop him — despite ongoing allegations of misconduct. Originally featured on the Leeza Gibbons Show and in media around the world, both Fatal Prescription and the Abby Drover story will have strong appeal to parents and the Me Too movement. Each book in very different ways is about young women finally coming forward to confront abusive men, to testify against them and to obtain justice. ABOUT THE AUTHOR: John Griffiths was born in England, and became a cub reporter at the age of 16. He emigrated to Canada in 1966 and worked for the next 10 years at Vancouver's morning newspaper The Province. "It's now a tabloid, but it was a broadsheet back then with a large editorial staff devoted to covering late breaking stories. It was all about coming out with the exclusive story and sparing few expenses to beat the competition," said Griffiths. "How times have changed!" He covered general news, politics, crime, and for two years was City Hall Reporter in Vancouver. He was married to former Province columnist Kathy Tait. Specializing in nonfiction, he has edited several books for other authors, and has now released two unique new travel books that will be the ideal gift for anyone who loves ocean cruising.
