Jodi Rose Crump has been making messes and telling stories since she could first hold a crayon. Raised in New England by her single dad—author and yo-yo legend Stuart Crump Jr.—she grew up surrounded by words, jokes, and the occasional flying toy. When her dad remarried, the family moved to Virginia, where Jodi perfected the art of violin-playing, mural-painting, and creatively avoiding dish duty. Jodi is a lifelong artist, writer, and performer. Trained by professional clowns from Ringling Brothers and Cirque du Soleil—but not a clown herself—she became a family entertainer known for spinning plates, dazzling with yo-yo tricks, blowing bubbles bigger than your car (seriously—up to 500 gallons if they held water), and playing the violin. She’s performed across the U.S. and painted murals now hanging in Florida, Northern Virginia, and London. These days, she’s more likely to be found typing away on her next book while being supervised by her two dogs: Jasper, a dignified black Cocker Spaniel, and Turbo, a turbocharged ball of fluff and energy. She’s currently working on three very different books: a powerful goal-setting book based on notes her late father wrote in the 1980s, a young adult novel called Fairy Tech about magic and machines, and a women-centered novel about rising together through friendship, struggle, and strength. She still colors outside the lines—but now she sells it as art. You can find her books—and her late father’s too—right here on Amazon. Follow the trail of stories, bubbles, and maybe a few muddy paw prints.
