My latest release is the middle-grade mystery Never Less (Book One of the Pablo and Mindy Series). Written for readers twelve and up, it helps young people understand and cope with the fentanyl crisis through an adventurous and relatable story, empowering them to face this crisis. My current work-in-progress follows these characters twenty-two years later in a New Adult thriller as they struggle with their identity. I am the author of The Trilogy for Freedom, a series of thrillers. (See my blog on freedom and related subjects here.) In my eco-thriller The Drowning Bay (2021), an ex-con and an activist fight to protect the bay...each in their own way. In my cyber-thriller Atone for the Ivory Cloud (2016), a composer becomes an intelligence asset working to take down the ivory trade. In my historical thriller A Fado for the River (2011), I explore a quest for personal freedom, inspired by a missing lover during the Mozambique’s struggle for liberation. After a career in IT management at two major US TV broadcasting companies, I turned to writing fiction. I also wrote and produced an award-winning animated film, The Shadow of Doubt, directed by my wife, Cynthia Wells. The film was featured in 27 film festivals and won five awards. In 2015, I published the award-winning children's book Moonglow, written by Peggy Dickerson and illustrated by Cynthia Wells. I live on the North Fork of Long Island, where I participate in triathlons and swim in the open water of the bay with my wife and our dog, Luciano.
