Brooke Montoya has been writing stories since Santa gifted her a typewriter for Christmas at age six. Growing up, she spent all her allowance on scary teen books. She loves how a story can immerse you into a different world, if only for a while, and how a perfectly written sentence can evoke such deep emotions. Now, she is a dually licensed therapist and a professor at a university in Oklahoma, where she lives with her family and two dogs. She is the founder of a paranormal investigation team and enjoys looking for the answers to the afterlife as a "counselor for ghosts." Brooke authors nonfiction books that explore the history and hauntings of various locations and psychological thrillers.
