During her time in Charleston, she was nominated three times for the Elizabeth O’Neill Verner Award - SC's prestigious arts award - highlighting her deep engagement with creative communities. This breadth of experience contributes to her versatile and imaginative writing style. Buscher is a prolific author of children's books, with over a dozen titles to her name. Her works are known for their engaging, age-appropriate storytelling and vibrant illustrations, making them a good fit for young readers. If you are interested in a particular title, it may be best to visit her professional website. In Venice, Florida, her books can be found at the Island Bookshop, or check (or request the book if they don't have it) at local libraries and specialty children's bookstores. Her children's books have been recommended for adult ESL (English as a Second Language) students. Her career is marked by diverse experiences in the arts, education, and community service, all of which shape her approach to storytelling. Before writing her children’s books, she worked at Island Village Montessori School to study children up to age 10. In 2006, Nancy returned to college and graduated with honors in 2010, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. In 2011, Ms. Buscher co-founded ABC-Books, Inc, a 501 c3 literary non-profit, a writers' networking association that helped writers prepare, polish, publish, and promote their books. The organization boasted over 500 members over 11 years and closed after Nancy moved out of the state. B. Ulena is the pen name for Nancy Buscher. The Keyhole Mysteries Series by B.
