Audrey Golden is a writer whose work focuses on music, politics, and popular culture. She is the author of I Thought I Heard You Speak: Women at Factory Records (2023), and her words have appeared in Maggot Brain, The Quietus, The Guardian, Gusher, American Book Review, Louder Than War, DIVA magazine, and other publications. She holds a BA from Wesleyan University, a JD from Wake Forest University School of Law, and a PhD from the University of Virginia. Audrey has taught at a range of academic institutions that include Coe College, Simmons University, and Columbia University, and she has given more than a dozen public lectures on film, politics, and sound at America's oldest independent cinema, the Coolidge Corner Theatre. She lives in New York.
