The sparks and chemistry between them is off the charts. Wren asks him to be her date at the dinner for the wedding. They both have a past that they need to deal with but with someone deliberately setting fires. Full of steamy scenes, suspense, chemistry and secrets.

Yes, the chemistry is strong but there are also elements of sweet romance, action and suspense. While Phoenix comes off as extremely alpha, he shows considerable vulnerability and sensitivity as the story progresses. Wren may start as a damsel in distress but her complex issues and strength of character also make considerable contributions to the plot. The story is energetic and fast-paced but a lot of fun to listen to. This is the first book in the seried and I definitely want to hear the rest. In fact, I think that there are characters included in thiz story who are featured in other series and I may just go read/listen to those now too!
