About this listen

How does a bad day get worse, you ask? Well...

How about being squished between two huge, naked dudes with their meaty schlongs hanging out and everything?

It's all a matter of opinion, but Carter's day is going pretty badly. He's an engineer captured by bug aliens, now depending on his large, muscled, naked cage mates for food and warmth. They seem sentient, so that's good. But they're also handsy. Which is...complicated.

The military isn't looking for him. Slaves taken by the bug race never come back. Yet, Carter is very much alive, and if he wants to stay that way, he'll need to trust Pykh and Siel, two affectionate aliens with claws, teeth, and size.

Contains mature themes.

Outstanding narrator

Joel Leslie really knocked this one out of the park. The narration in this series is epic and coupled with the fantastic storyline makes for one of the best series ever!

Sci fi MM

I was excited to listen to this as I love both Sci Fi and MM romance and it’s not overly common to find, especially on audio. The story wasn’t what I expected - quite slow in the beginning (I didn’t initially realise the story is continuous over 3 books) but the concept was overall enjoyable. I’d give it 3.5* overall.

Listened purely for my favourite narrator

This was better than I expected. I listened purely because I was having withdrawal symptoms missing my favourite narrator! because I can't get enough of Joel Leslie (Froomkin) best narrator of all time. Listening to him is like coming home to an amazing hug from the person you love most.
This book was included in my membership and was intriguing enough that I bought book 2 and 3.

The series was enjoyable enough that I would buy a 4th if it was to come out.

Space cats!

This is one of my favorite audiobooks ever. I love the characters and how Joel makes them so real. The story is unique with amazing worldbuilding.

Surprisingly good

So i was re~aly skeptical.
The only reason I picked it was because it was yaoi and i was looking for something along the lines of alien.
But damn, i was pretty surprised.
It was really good and hella funny.
I can’t wait for the 2nd part.

Hugely entertaining sci fi romp

I suppose I shouldn't be surprised at how much I liked this, a space adventure with a decent plot, light humour, kindness, romance, and cats, what's not to enjoy. Also loved the narration and had no real trouble distinguishing characters.

Excellent story with great narration

This story was completely out of my wheelhouse and I’ve no idea how I happened upon it much less gave it a go however what a sweet adventure story. The character building is brilliant and the pacing spot on. I can’t wait to listen to the next instalment. The narration is perfect- it is Joel Leslie after all and he is incomparable.
