In The Dunwich Horror, Lovecraft lays further ground in the Cthulu mythos. The narrator travels through the nearby decrepit seaport of Innsmouth which is suggested as a cheaper and potentially interesting next leg of his journey. Although he's best known for his weird fiction writings, for much of his literary life, H.P. Lovecraft considered himself primarily a poet. "At the Mountains of Madness" is a science fiction-horror novella by American author H. P. Lovecraft, written in February/March 1931. The story details the events of a disastrous expedition to Antarctica in September 1930, and what is found there by a group of explorers led by the narrator, Dr. William Dyer of Miskatonic University. Throughout the story, Dyer details a series of previously untold events in the hope of deterring another group of explorers who wish to return to the continent.

Randolph Carter dreamt of a beautiful sunset city that he can never reach. But Randolph is no ordinary dreamer, he's experienced! Desperate to reach the city he quests across the dreamlands in search of the path that leads to the city. On his journey he encounters strange creatures, monsters, and even gods. This is one of H.P. Lovecraft's best-known and most well-loved stories.

The Call of Cthulhu", written in 1926, is probably Lovecraft's best-known work. Discovering notes left by a deceased relative, the narrator pieces together the whole truth and disturbing significance of the Cthulhu cult.
