Grey Cloak and Dyphestive must mount a rescue to the Nether Realm and take down Utlas, the Speaker of the Dead. The mission is simple: lie low until the time to reveal themselves comes. But when a quick trip for a hot meal leads into the heart of unexpected danger, Grey Cloak and Dyphestive must suffer severe consequences. Talon undertakes a treacherous journey into the bowels of the Nether Realm to find the Flaming Fence and recover the Dragon Helm. But there is a betrayer among them. One slip, and the last hope to defeat Black Frost will be lost forever.

Reinstated by the FBI, Smoke and Sid launch an investigation into the source of the swarming dragons. In abandoned warehouses on the fringe of the city, dragon hounds and draykis lie in wait to trap the heroes. Meanwhile, a notorious gang of shapeshifting slave traders snatches Sam and Mandi, putting Abraham, Guppy, and Streak on the hunt for the wicked meddlers.

The newly full-fledged members of Talon, the brothers Grey Cloak and Dyphestive, are faced with a decision. Seeking greener pastures will surely bring about pain and suffering, but Grey Cloak wants no part of his new role in the secret dragon war. So he pushes his reluctant brother to move on, and the brazen youths are determined to keep their dark secret to themselves while seeking a fortune of their own.

Smoke, Sid, Abraham, and their allies see the writing on the wall. They have one focus—use Boon’s portals to seek and destroy their foes before it’s too late. But the unpredictable portals bring trouble as people from other worlds arrive, posing nefarious problems. Meanwhile, the humongous, all-powerful Lord Master arrives in DC with a host of dragons at his disposal and the United States government under his claw. Specks launches a counterattack that leaves the heroes in the lurch, banishing them from their home forever.

Grey Cloak and Dyphestive have tried everything to bring their greatest enemy to a dead halt. With one final valiant effort against impossible odds, they lead Talon and the Children of Cinder into the greatest battle of their lives, thinking it can only end in their inevitable massacre.

Grey Cloak and Talon face off against Black Frost’s forces, which are imbued with godlike powers and will settle for nothing less than the heroes' deaths. Dyphestive and Zanna Paydark are charged with the dangerous undertaking of rescuing Queen Rhonna—who holds the key to defeating the enemy—from an impenetrable prison in Dwarf Skull.

Battling the devious element of Bish, Smoke seeks to free Sid from her cocoon. In DC Sticks, Boon and Melegal find themselves on the run from draykis hunters bent on their capture. In the White House, aided by the all-powerful Lord Master, the invincible Speck’s continues his reign of terror and unleashes chaos upon the country. Running their insidious operations out of secret military base called the Complex, they master control of the dimensional gateways and plot to spread the dragon and zombie plague through the rest of the world.

Separated from their allies, Grey Cloak and Dyphestive find themselves searching for new ones in a dangerous place where they aren’t welcome. Caught in a triangle of love and betrayal, a cunning faceless enemy schemes to destroy them once and for all.

Black Frost has the entire world crushed beneath his talons, and Grey Cloak and Dyphestive are running out of options to defeat him. They need an army, and will lock horns with their allies on how to get it. Meanwhile, at the bottom of the world, Zora makes new enemies unlike anything she has ever encountered before.

When Streak goes missing, the blood brothers embark on perilous journey into an unexplored cavity in the bowels of the world called the Rupture. Led by Zora, Talon’s quest for the Dragon Helm leads them north, but a vengeful Bowbreaker puts all their lives in grave peril.

The artifacts needed to defeat the Lord Master are stolen by wily mages, and a dangerous recovery mission is launched in the heart of enemy territory. Smoke and Abraham lead a quest to find a wizard that can return them home, while Sid goes through a mysterious transformation. Meanwhile, back in DC, Sticks and Streak must find Boon and mount a risk-it-all rescue mission.

With Black Frost’s armies and forces of evil dragon riders conquering the land and skies, it will take more than the wit and skill of the heroes—Grey Cloak and Dyphestive--to destroy the flying tyrannical terror and his suffocating armies of darkness. The quest will demand guts and sacrifice, or the world called Gapoli will fall into the clutches of a maniacal monster forever.
