The Life and Death of Mr. Badman: Presented to the World in a Familiar Dialogue Between Mr. Wiseman and Mr. Attentive is a 1680 book by John Bunyan. It was intended as a companion to The Pilgrim's Progress. The narrative has two characters talking about sin and redemption over the course of a day.

Although this is a small book, yet it presents you with matters of the greatest and most weighty concern, even with a discourse of life and death to eternity. It reveals and clarifies, by the Scriptures of God, that the time is at hand when there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust – even of the bodies of both, from the graves where they are, or will be, at the start of that day.

Seventeenth-century Puritan John Bunyan speaks to us in a way that is much different from usual preachers. The Holy War Made by King Shaddai Upon Diabolus, or, The Losing and Taking Again of the Town of Mansoul is a 1682 novel by John Bunyan. Written in the form of an allegory, it tells the story of the town Mansoul which rebels against king Shaddai, replacing his benign rule with that of Diabolus who turns out to be a harmful ruler. The king sends his son Emmanuel to reclaim the city. Salvation can come to the city only by the victory of Emmanuel.

The Pilgrim’s Progress, a religious allegory by John Bunyan, was published in two parts in 1678 and 1684. The work is a symbolic vision of the good man’s pilgrimage through life. The Pilgrim’s Progress is one of the most famous Christian allegories of all time.

Während seiner Haftzeit schrieb er “The Pilgrims Progress“, das unter dem Titel “Christen auf dem Weg zur Ewigkeit“ erschienen ist. Die darin geschilderte Reise ist eine Metapher für den Weg, den ein Mensch antreten muss, um nach diesem Leben ein Einwohner der himmlischen Stadt werden zu können.

O Peregrino inicia com um poema no qual descreve os motivos para a obra e a razão de usar formas alegóricas (semelhante aos autos do teatro medieval) para contar a aventura do viajante que se encontra com personagens de carne e osso, mas que possuem nomes simbólicos que remetem ao evangelho de Jesus Cristo, como Evangelista, Adulação, Malicia, Apoliom e Vigilância. Um clássico cristão que ainda hoje tem um importante papel como guia sobre a perseverança em meio a dificuldades.
