The Road to Oz is the fifth Oz book. In this book, Dorothy and Toto are off again on an exciting adventure down the road to Oz. In order to help the Shaggy Man, Dorothy and Toto must journey through magical and mysterious lands. Soon the three are joined by a lost boy named Button-Bright and the beautiful young Polychrome, the Rainbow's Daughter.

Ozma of Oz is the third oz book. When a storm blows Dorothy to the land of Ev, where lunches grow on trees, she meets the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman, the Cowardly Lion, and Princess Ozma, and together they set out to free the Queen of Ev and her 10 children. The story features a wicked nome king who has enchanted the queen and her children.

Twinkle and Chubbins is a collection of short children's stories written by L. Frank Baum, but published under the pen name Laura Bancroft. The stories included in the collection are: "Mr. Woodchuck", "Bandit Jim Crow", "Prairie-Dog Town", "Prince Mud-Turtle", "Twinkle's Enchantment", and "Sugar-Loaf Mountain".

Dorothy Gale and her Uncle Henry and Aunt Em are coming to live in Oz permanently. Back in 1900 author L. Frank Baum says he wrote The Wonderful Wizard of Oz to please children of his time. He called it a modernized fairy tale, totally unlike older stories often filled with blood-curdling events. He left out the heartaches and nightmares. He pointed out youngsters have long had a love of fantastic stories, but times change and they look forward more to entertainment that still has the wonderment and joy of time gone by. Professor Wogglebug gets the characters of Oz thinking about their genealogy and where they came from because he wants to write The Royal Book of Oz recording all this information. This topic especially upsets the Scarecrow, as he knows that he was discovered by Dorothy hanging from a beanpole in a cornfield and he thinks that this mean he can't possibly have a family history. Woggleburg agrees and hurts Scarecrow's feelings by noting that because of Dorothy's discovery, Scarecrow has no family tree and should get the slightest mention in their Royal Book of Oz.

Young Trot and the old captain, peg-legged Cap'n Bill, might seem like odd friends, but they are constant companions and Cap'n Bill taught her to love and appreciate the ocean. Trot was especially fascinated by the idea of mermaids and talked about them often with Cap'n Bill, who warned that no one who had met a mermaid had ever lived to tell the tale. One day while out sailing around, the pair is greeted by a beautiful mermaid who extends an invitation for them to come and visit their underwater kingdom and even become mermaids themselves for the adventure.

After being captured and kept imprisoned by an evil princess, she is rescued by Princess Ozma and her familiar friends, the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman, and the Cowardly Lion, among others. After the daring rescue, the band must make their way through obstacles and dangers to make it back to the Emerald City one again.

A patchwork doll comes to life, and Dorothy, the Tin Woodman, and a host of new characters have enchanting adventures in the Land of Oz.
