This is a very old book, going back to 1995 and the days of the DIY chapbooks we used to print off my old Brother word processor. I've known these guys longer than I've had kids and [they] taught me more in those early days of my own writing than I could ever repay. So to celebrate my two best friends, I wanted to finally let this collection be seen the way it never could in 1995. I hope you like it. And if not, well, I hope they like it at least. Most of the works here are pretty old, but I think they still hold up pretty well.

David Reed is struggling. He's working two jobs to make ends meet, trying not to resent the fact his wife makes so much more than he does, and to top it all off, he's just totaled his car after swerving to avoid hitting a very large animal in the middle of the road. But an empty bank account and no car soon turn out to be the least of David's worries, when he begins to think the animal he almost hit might be stalking him.

For new fans - or newcomers considering delving into Stephen King's novels and stories - King's immense body of work can be daunting, overwhelming, even. My hope is that this list can provide an easily digestible menu potential King readers can cross-reference with their own interests, thereby providing insights into where they might want start or what they might want to read next.
