On January 1st, 2020, the comet hit, and a good chunk of the people on Earth died or turned into mutants. But some people gained powerful magical abilities. You would think that the fall of humankind would usher in a time of peace and happiness for the survivors, but since powerful people tend to be assholes, life got worse, and these mages enslaved those who couldn’t protect themselves. I have magic too, but not just any magic. I can summon guns, and nothing kills asshole mages better than a bullet through the brain.

Ever since I discovered that I can kill magical creatures, trap their souls in precious gems, and use them to cast spells of my own, I haven’t had a moment’s rest. I have to balance my academics with learning how to use my powers and capture more souls in more gems to grow my spell collection. All the while avoiding angry aristocrats, nosy professors, criminal mobsters, and evil dwarves bent on destroying the civilized kingdoms. Luckily, I have some handy magic, a super awesome foxgirl and the hottest elven girl in school by my side, so nothing can stop me.

When the thief guilds all join forces to steal the treasure of the city, Gabriel and the Shadow Foxes face their toughest challenge yet. But throw in a powerful gorgon, the prying mage academy, and a berserker vigilante hafling, and...well...let’s just say that Gabriel’s unique brand of controlling magic is going to be the only thing that can save the day. Tremendous. Tremendously tremendous. Tremendous in its tremendocity. That is how I would describe book four in the Arena series. I say so. Everyone says so. But mostly, I say so. My best friend, Marc Havak, who I hand-picked to represent the planet Earth in an interstellar gladiatorial competition, has kicked-butt and taken names, as I knew he would. Everyone I pick wins. And they win bigly. But this audiobook, wow, this one is amazing. Intense action with yours truly saving the day and telling these alien losers how much they suck? You're hired.

Ben is really coming into his title of Draco Rex. Not only has he discovered a new species of dragon, but now Jemma has bonded to the baby fire-breather named Tirian. And there are more dragons out there just waiting to be found.

I’m playing a dangerous game working for a crime syndicate while trying to overthrow them from within. Now, before we talk about how fantastic I am at making world leader decisions, let’s talk about how great this sequel is. I've read many sequels, and all were bad. Very very bad. But this one? It's the best. And not just because I'm in it. No. Well, yes. I’m in it, and I always do a fantastic job with everything.

Ben is now Draco Rex the dragon king, and his dynasty is steadily growing. His women give him a new dragon-kin child every few weeks, he has fortified and improved his village and palace, and the water dragons are coming back from the brink of extinction. Life is good for him, but the gods have further plans, so it is time for the new ruler to build a raft and expand his domain.

When aliens came to Earth and said they needed a winner, well, I was busy running America. Fantastically. So, the next best winner was Marc Havak. Through two books he's been funny, handsome, and beaten odds that would have made ordinary men cry like losers. This third book though, I'm telling you, this book is amazing. More of everything you love. Edge-of-your-seat alien battles on fantastic worlds? Win. Smoking hot alien babes who are total 10s? Win. Enough heart and guts from the main character to fill one of my incredible hotels? Win.

I’m rubbing shoulders with the elite of our kingdom, and I’m trying to topple a crime syndicate that’s working with our worst enemies.

The women who summoned me are in dire need. Their House has been raided, their family decimated, and they are out for revenge. So, if I can help them get their vengeance, I could potentially be adopted by this House and increase my standing in this cutthroat world. And this group of beautifully evil priestesses will also need help making children to replenish their numbers.

We escaped from New York City, but the mages are still hot on our heels. We’re heading west, to see a man about a gun. Actually, a lot of guns. Any gun I touch I can summon back, so I need to grow my arsenal to have a chance to fend off our pursuers and make it to the west coast. Unfortunately, we’ll have to traverse miles mutant-infested wilderness to get to our contact, and even if we make it through the mutant lands, the mages could easily be waiting for us on the other side. I’m definitely gonna need a lot of guns.

Well, you obviously start recruiting beautiful monster girls and construct a fort, because these worlds are crazy deadly and you’re going to need all the help you can get to survive.

The DEPP has transported Dave and his lovely women to another even more alien and dangerous version of Earth than the last. They have to begin fortifying their trans-dimensional territory if they have any hope of surviving these hostile environments. Cambrian Era monstrosities and massive tidal surges caused by an angry moon goddess are pretty nasty challenges for anybody to survive, but a flesh eating blob that wants to devour all life on Earth? That’s just not fair.

After leaving the army, I thought the hardest thing I’d face was the job market. But then one night, my sister and I saved a beautiful blonde woman being attacked in an alley, and we discovered that magic was real. The supernatural was real.
