Historical novelist Philippa Gregory published her first novel Wideacre in 1987. With the book becoming a best seller, it began a career that has now lasted 30 years. The first in the Wideacre trilogy, it was soon followed by The Favoured Child (1989) and Meridon (1990). In the year of Wideacre's 30th anniversary, Philippa joins us in the Audible Studios to discuss the trilogy and the re-release of Wideacre, as well as the publication of her latest book The Last Tudor.

Joining us in the Audible Studios to discuss his latest book, Enlightenment Now, is experimental psychologist, author and Harvard professor Steven Pinker. One of the world’s leading authorities on language and the mind, Steven Pinker is the author of highly acclaimed books such as The Better Angels of Our Nature and The Language Instinct. Winner of numerous awards for his research and books, the two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist published his 10th title, Enlightenment Now, in February 2018.

Joining us in the Audible Studios is Welsh actor Alexander Vlahos. In this interview, Alexander tells us what he likes about narrating and what it’s like to be an actor. Vlahos narrates H. G. Joining us in the Audible Studios to talk about not one but two recent audio projects is actor and comedian Matt Lucas. Matt is well known for Little Britain and Come Fly with Me but has many more strings to his bow - adding the narration of Charles’ Dickens epic Great Expectations to his achievements, along with performing Fagin in the audio drama Dodge and Twist.
