Celephaïs ist sowohl eine Kurzgeschichte von H. P. Lovecraft als auch der Name der darin erwähnten Stadt. Die Geschichte wurde im November 1920 geschrieben und 2 Jahre später in der Mai-Ausgabe 1922 von Rainbow veröffentlicht.

Die Kurzgeschichte Vom Jenseits (From Beyond) verfasste Lovecraft im Jahr 1920, jedoch wurde sie erst vierzehn Jahre später im Juni 1934 in "The Fantasy Fan" veröffentlicht. 1986 wurde sie mit unter dem englischen Originaltitel "From Beyond" verfilmt. Das Mond-Moor (The Moon-Bog) ist eine im Jahr 1921 von Lovecraft verfasste Kurzgeschichte. Ursprünglich geplant und verfasst als mündlicher Vortrag für ein Treffen von Amateur-Journalisten in Boston am 10.03.1921 wurde sie im Juni 1926 in Weird Tales veröffentlicht. Dieser war in Amerika reich geworden und hatte dort den Erzähler kennengelernt, später kehrte Barry jedoch wieder nach Irland zurück und kaufte im Dorf seiner Heimat das Schloss seiner Vorfahren.

Die Fakten über Arthur Jermyn und seine Familie ist eine Kurzgeschichte von H. P. Lovecraft, die im jahr 1921 erstmals veröffentlicht worden ist. Sie handelt über die englische Familie Jermyn und ihre Verbindungen zum Kongo. Im 18. Jahrhundert führte Sir Wade Jermyn Expeditionen und Forschungen im Kongo aus, in deren Folge er in seinem Buch Betrachtungen über die verschiedenen Teile Afrikas Theorien formulierte, nach denen im Kongo uralte weiße Hybridwesen – halb Mensch, halb Affe – in einer grauen, vergessenen Stadt lebten.

"Die Gruft" ist eine fiktive Kurzgeschichte des amerikanischen Schriftstellers H. P. In the tale, an unnamed narrator relates the story of how a law forbidding the killing of cats came to be in a town called Ulthar. As the narrative goes, the city is home to an old couple who enjoy capturing and killing the townspeople's cats. When a caravan of wanderers passes through the city, the kitten of an orphan (Menes) traveling with the band disappears.

"Herbert West - Reanimator" is a horror short story by American writer H. P. Lovecraft. It was written between October 1921 and June 1922. It was first serialized in February through July 1922 in the amateur publication "Home Brew".

The story revolves around a Bostonian painter named Richard Upton Pickman who creates horrifying images. His works are brilliantly executed, but so graphic that they result in the revocation of his membership in the Boston Art Club and he is shunned by his fellow artists. "Hypnos" is a first-person narrative, written from the perspective of an unnamed character living in Kent and later London, England. The narrator writes that he fears sleep, and is resolved to write his story down lest it drive him further mad, regardless of what people think after reading it. The narrator, a sculptor, recounts meeting a mysterious man in a railway station. The moment the man opened his "immense, sunken, and widely luminous eyes", the narrator knew that the stranger would become his friend--"the only friend of one who had never possessed a friend before."

The story begins with the narrator describing the night sky as observed over long sleepless nights from his window, in particular that of the Pole Star, Polaris, which he describes as "winking hideously like an insane watching eye which strives to convey some strange message, yet recalls nothing save that it once had a message to convey". He then describes the night of the aurora over his house in the swamp, and how on this night he first dreamed of a city of marble lying on a plateau between two peaks, with Polaris above in the night sky.

Plot: The story's anonymous narrator has moved from New England to New York City, and greatly regrets it. One night, while wandering in a historic part of Greenwich Village, he happens upon a man dressed in garments from the 18th century. The man offers to show the narrator the secrets of the town. The man brings the narrator to his home.
