After Zac Murphy and Angus Price are fired from their jobs as leaders of the REV fleet that's been expanding the human stellar empire, a new danger appears in the Outer Reaches: A super-race capable of smashing humanity like a bug. As all of the Union's past gains are lost, Earth is desperate for salvation. They find it in the unlikely union of mortal enemies - Zac and Dr. David Cross. As the evil Klin continue their rampage across the galaxy, Adam enlists the help of mutants Panur and Lila to find a solution to the Klin problem. But time is running out. The deadly power of the Klin is growing exponentially with each passing day. And add to that the sniveling politicians from the Expansion and the Union who fear Adam's daughter Lila more than they do the Klin. Now Adam is up against enemies on both sides of the conflict, leaving it up to him and his team to save the galaxy—again. But this time he has some major brain-power on his side.

While Adam Cain and his team are on a desperate mission to stop the creature Te'moc from a deadly encounter with Summer Rains and her evil phantom presence, J'nae, we learn more about how everything that has transpired over the past three billion years has been leading to this moment.

The aliens may have thought Adam was dangerous before, but they ain't seen nothing yet.

Adam Cain has pursued his nemesis Nigel McCarthy to the Milky Way's sister galaxy - The Large Magellanic Cloud - using the revolutionary technology of the concentrated-array gravity-drive. This is virgin territory for the Humans - an entire galaxy that knows nothing of the special abilities of the people from Earth.

Normally, it doesn't take a lot to piss off Adam Cain (AKA: The Human). That's why 'Collateral Damage' is his middle name. But occasionally, something happens that pushes him over the edge. And in that case, there isn't a place in the galaxy where you're safe. In I Am Entropy, Adam brings chaos to order, an order that never should have existed in the first place. All The Human had to do was turn over his latest bounty to the local authorities and collect his fee. In the continuation of their last adventure, Adam and his team have returned from The Lost Universe with the evil and insane Aris being Kracion close on their tail. Now the mission becomes two-fold: Warn the galaxy of this new threat, while also on a quest to find the artificial planet of the Aris in time to save Lila and Panur from being assimilated by Kracion, making him the immortal god he's spent three billion years to become. If he's successful, no power in the galaxy can stop him . . . except maybe an ex-Navy SEAL from Southern California named Adam Cain . . .

With the question lingering what happened to the evil Mad Aris Kracion, Adam and his team are preparing to follow the clues to an answer. But first, Adam takes a quick detour to help a stranded Summer, Monty, and Tidus get off the planet Sasin, the most dangerous place in the galaxy. It's a no big deal mission which quickly devolves into the beginning of the greatest challenge for Adam and his team. Both Adam and Summer are going through strange and not so subtle changes; Adam from the mind meld he did with the super mutant Panur, and Summer from her contact with the Essence of J'nae.

This wasn't like Adam Cain—AKA: The Human for Hire. He wasn't supposed to be compassionate and caring. But for some reason, he'd taken the former Third-Generation Human John Martinez under his wing and was now determined to show him what the real Human race was all about. As a 3G, Martinez had been raised by the Klin to believe a completely false narrative about his native race. But having never been to Earth—and after only a few tragic encounters with other Humans—what was Martinez to believe?

Eleven years ago, Army Ranger Jason King lost his job when the aliens came to Earth and outlawed war among nations. Now he makes a fairly decent living as the top real estate broker on the planet Sylox, the capital of the Galactic Union. His clients are primarily Humans coming to the planet to work at the huge Embassy Complex, and they find Earth-like housing—along with a little taste of home—in the sprawling Enclaves of Sylox.

With the clock ticking to total destruction of the universe, Adam Cain and Company race to find the imprisoned Last Aris, an insane creature they've run into before: Kracion! He's the key to saving . . . everything. But will he help? Will he care if the universe dies? And in the meantime, the evil Te'moc is still on the warpath, seeking to assimilate both Summer Rains and the super-mutant Panur—who's a little preoccupied at the time. And to top it all off, the Sol-Kor have reached the point of no return in their search for their missing Queen-J'nae.
