Almost thirty years has passed and from beginning to the present, the Lord has never left us. We have seen Him at work in every aspect of this congregation. His powerful hand carried us through the toughest times of our existence. We especially praise Him for providing us with devoted pastoral leaders: Rev. Dr. Landrum Shields, founding pastor, Rev. Terrence Harper, Sr., and our current pastor, Rev. Dr. Wallace O. McLaughlin. Under their leadership, Covenant Community Church has offered its membership and the community “endurance, encouragement and hope” in such a warm and loving place.

Wenn man den Begriff "Eifel-Krimi" hört, muss man automatisch an den Namen Jaques Berndorf denken. Er hat die Region durch seine Kriminal-Romane berühmt und berüchtigt gemacht. Für diese Sammlung von Kriminal-Kurzgeschichten hat Berndorf zahlreiche Autor*innen vereint, die in kurzen Krimi-Geschichten Spannung und Mystery in die Eifel bringen.

En svartsjuk äkta man som tar livet av sin hustru – vad kan det kosta honom? Vilket straff kan han få? Vad sätter myndigheterna in för resurser för att klara upp enskildheterna i ett fall som tillsynes är enkelt och klart? Men som trots allt visar sig vara komplicerat. I det aktuella fallet skulle rätten ta ställning till om den man, som polisen framställde som misstänkt för mordet, också var rätt gärningsman.

Den så kallade Vilmos Horvath, var en av ligaledarna för den ledande europeiska narkotikasmuggling under det tidiga 1970-talet. Med hand om smugglingen till Italien, Tyskand och slutligen Sverige var han involverad i ett stor kriminellt nätverk. Under 1971-1972 smugglade han och hans kumpaner in över 300 000 kapslar fenmetralin till Sverige. I en sommarstuga i Grisslinge utanför Stockholm grips Vilmos Horvath 1974 efter ett långt och intensivt spaningsarbete.
