Join multimedia artist Amanda Wu as they interview local artists and members of Solas Studio. Every episode features a short art news segment recorded at Solas's Flatiron headquarters with programming director Brandon Wisecarver.
This week's guest: Rowynn Dumont

In this episode's news segment:

Amanda and Brandon discuss how in Fiji they are turning underwater sculptures into a way to restore the coral reefs that are dying, how the Met museum is collaborating with Roblox in order for participants to virtually try on hats from the museum’s collection, how royalty rates are being cut for artists who create NTF’s, if AI will take over traditional artists in the art world and we discussed the riot that happened in Union Square because of the influencer Kai Cenat.

In this episode’s interview:

Amanda discusses with Rowynn about how her upbringing started her desire to both find the truth and to create art while doing so, her many kinds of projects such as what she has written and events that she has thrown. We talk about the purpose behind her event Black Rainbow that is hosted here in NYC. But mostly we talk about how she has traveled the world and had many different types of experiences because of her multidisciplinary art practices.
