Is the pruning season really necessary?

Just as a gardener carefully prunes plants at the right time to ensure healthy growth and abundant fruit, God also prunes us to prepare us for the blessings ahead.

Do you trust and believe the Good Gardener knows what He is doing? God has plans to prosper us, and not to harm us. If you are in the pruning season right now...you are not alone. God has not forgotten about you, even when you don't feel His presence. He is masterfully working it all out.

I encourage you to hold on to His unchanging hands and trust that His eyes are always on the sparrow.

Is it possible that God has you in a pruning season?

Just like a skilled gardener, God knows exactly what we need—even when it feels uncomfortable. I share about my personal journey in my book "necessary." Chapter 5, "The Pruning Season" and how I had to learn that sometimes, what we think is absolutely necessary for us to have in our lives may actually be holding us back from experiencing greater growth.

As I visited my son’s gravesite today, on his birthday, something really stood out to me as I reflected on the day he accepted Jesus Christ [Yeshua] as his Lord and Savior. We are called to make disciples of all nations and spread the love of God in our daily lives. That is what really matters!

As followers of Jesus Christ [Yeshua], we are called to be God's messengers, reflecting His love and grace to those around us. Living for God by spreading the message of the gospel can profoundly impact others in ways we may never realize.

Our time on earth is short, and the urgency to share the knowledge of God has never been greater.

Together, let's embrace our divine mission and role in making disciples and shining the light of Jesus Christ [Yeshua] in the world, as we strive to be a true reflection of Christ and live for God. Read Matthew 28:18-20 and make the decision today that you will live for God by allowing every aspect of your life to be used as an opportunity to share the gospel, spread love to the world, and make disciples of all nations. We are called to make disciples.

Life can throw us into the depths of challenges—whether it's relationship struggles, financial hardship, or health issues. It is easy to turn to counterfeit gods for relief in seasons of hardships. But spiritual growth and transformation come when we let go of these distractions and allow ourselves to be purified like pure gold. When we take time to sit with God and allow Him to direct us, we can find strength in adversity because God can transform our trials into triumphs!

Looking for guidance? Are you paying attention to God’s divine instruction? How often do we pay attention to what God is trying to tell us? I encourage you all to read Matthew chapter 2. It is a beautiful story about the birth of Jesus Christ, and the divine direction and instruction that was given to Mary and Joseph.

The Holy Spirit is our Counselor. Be still and listen to what God is trying to tell you. There are many examples in the Bible, such as Daniel, Joseph, Gideon, and many others who received divine instruction from God. I encourage you all my dear brothers and sisters to listen to what the Holy Spirit is trying to tell you. Pay attention.

You don’t owe anyone an apology as you strive to go higher and walk in alignment with the talents God has given you. This applies to personal development and entrepreneurial development.

For those seeking entrepreneur development, you do not need to feel guilty for creating multiple streams of income. The Bible relates to every aspect of our lives, including entrepreneurship. Read bible stories with spiritual and business wisdom such as the Proverbs 31 woman. She was wise, she was profitable, and she used the resources available to her to provide for her family, helpers, as well as for those who were in need. I hope this serves as a reminder to not limit yourself nor allow yourself to be stuck in a caged mindset because we have the right to grow. God created us to grow.

You don’t have to apologize for going higher. If God has made it clear for you to move forward in this season, then do what He said… unapologetically!

Walk in the anointing that God has placed in your life by letting go of a caged mindset, which is discussed in my book "necessary." I had to work on my personal growth and entrepreneurial growth mindset… it was necessary.

Now that you have decided to go higher, let's discuss what it looks like to respond to opposition, especially in personal and/or entrepreneurial development. What is one project you haven't completed yet because opposition stood in your way? It is going to take a mindset shift to see you are equipped, predestined, and prepared for the next level that God is guiding you toward.

Learn how to use the opposition that shows up in your life as a guide. The goal is for us all to walk in the assignment God has called us to do, and develop resilience against the opposition that tries to keep us from going higher, and doing what God has told us to do.

I encourage you to continually work on your personal growth, personal development and/or entrepreneur development, because you have to know who you are, and what is your assignment as you aim to go higher.

My challenge: Whatever God has set in your heart to do, make the commitment to ask God for His strategy as you take the steps to live a purpose-driven life. Strive to complete the assignment that God has given you. Remember, God is not wasteful. He is always working behind the scenes for our good. Let's go higher!
