    Matthew 26:1-5

    The plot to kill Jesus begins when the chief priests and elders of the people gather and conspire to arrest Jesus secretly and kill him. They fear a public uproar, so they plan to do it quietly. Judas, one of Jesus’ disciples, agrees to betray him in exchange for thirty pieces of silver, which sets the plan in motion.

    Judas’ betrayal reminds us that even those close to us can falter when motivated by greed or fear. It’s a lesson to be mindful of our own integrity and to yield ourself completely to the Holy Spirit that will comfort strengthening and guide us
