  • Feed Me Like You Mean It ft. Sydney Chin
    Apr 23 2025

Hello friends! Today I bring you another missive from the land of the chronically unemployed. So many changes are unfolding for this space, the most notable being that the Cosmic Co-Op finally has a website! Look at us. All grown up.

For this episode, I had the absolute pleasure of sitting down with queer Venusian chef and kitchen revolutionary Sydney Chin. We talked about food, yes, but also about pleasure and what it means to truly love food–not just cooking or serving it, but honoring it as art form, mutual aid, and ancestral technology.

Sydney and I dug into the realities of the restaurant industry, the harm it inflicts on those behind the curtain, and what it might mean to imagine a different kind of kitchen (even at the highest levels of culinary excellence) which is centered around mutual care, solidarity, and embracing mistakes.

This conversation left my stomach growling and my heart feeling full. Go get a snack before you press play. Trust me.

    Announcements:

    • Next month, I will be giving my newest lecture on Neptune in Aries, disillusionment, and what we can learn from the last time history experienced this transit. You can learn more about that here.
    • There will also be another Shame Alchemy meetup for anti-capitalist entrepreneurs on May 19th--come get a free taste of what we do inside the Co-Op! The first two meetups I've hosted have been full of grounding & nourishing discussions where we name the contradictions and inner conflicts brought about by systemic shame. No recording, no replay, just expansive recognition & presence amongst like-minded folks.

    Thank you for listening!

  • Gardening For The End of The World ft. Rebecca Maslen
    Apr 1 2025

    Welcome back to another episode!

How is your eclipse season hangover going? It's officially spring in the Northern Hemisphere, which makes my conversation with Rebecca Maslen even more timely, as we are discussing the radical, political, and creative side of gardening. Rebecca is a gardening consultant and writer who recently launched her new Substack, Gardening For The End of The World, and I was so delighted when she reached out about coming onto the pod.

We had a grounding & nourishing discussion of the many anti-capitalist parallels to gardening that are available to us, and Rebecca shared her wisdom about why gardening is not only an act of pleasure, but also an opportunity for creating more fulfilling connections with the human and n0n-human worlds which surround us. You can learn more and book a virtual garden consultation on Rebecca's website and follow her on Instagram.

  • Fear Alchemy For The Revolution ft. Brittany Wittig
    Mar 15 2025

Welcome back, friends. In this episode, I sit down with Coming Out of the Spiritual Closet podcast host Brittany Wittig, a fear alchemist & channeler, to talk about what it really means to work with fear instead of against it. Brittany’s work helps people transform fear into personal power, and our conversation couldn’t have come at a better time.

We explore the ways capitalism weaponizes fear to keep us small, how grief and fear are deeply intertwined, and why developing a relationship with your fear is essential in chaotic times. Brittany shares her approach to fear alchemy, a practice that allows us to acknowledge, process, and ultimately transmute fear into something generative. I also get into the importance of micro-disruptions--small, intentional acts of resistance--and the necessity of balancing fear work with joy so we don’t burn out. I walked away from this conversation with a deeper understanding & appreciation of my own relationship to fear, and I hope you do too.

    Mentioned in the episode:

    • Business Magick Virtual Summit – I’m speaking in the morning on March 18th (Pacific Time) about Shame Alchemy for anti-capitalist business owners. It’s free to join, and replays are available.
    • Brittany’s work – You can find her offerings, including her donation-based Alchemizing Fear workshop, at brittanywittig.com/linkinbio.
    • Year-ahead financial astrology readings – If you’re hearing this before March 31st, there’s still time to book a session with me. These won’t be available again for the rest of the year.

    Thank you for listening!
