  • Episode 192 ADHD and Shame
    May 26 2025

It's a shame, but we're back for Episode 192 of The ADHD Adults Podcast, where we cover ADHD and shame. As usual, Alex, the Psycho…….education Monkey vomits the evidence behind the subject; Alex and James offer personal reflections on shame while Mrs AuDHD is resting, and in part three listeners' questions are answered . 'What has James lost, forgotten or mislaid this week?" returns with James winning 7-2 (or not, we're really not sure). James wants to ‘motivate change’ in the podcast hosts and Alex spent the morning romancing his dog in the murder forest...

  • Episode 191 ADHD and Interoception
    May 19 2025

Episode 191 of The ADHD Adults covers ADHD. and interoception, the sensory system that provides information about the internal state of the body. As usual, Alex, the Psycho…….education Monkey spews the evidence behind the subject; both hosts offer personal reflections on interoception, and in part three listeners' questions are answered (largely because it's easier than writing a part three). 'What has James lost, forgotten or mislaid this week?" returns with James winning 6-2 (or not, we're really not sure) . James thinks we’re in the pocket of ‘Big Caroline Williams’ and Alex’s engine light is on, but he has no idea why...

  • Episode 190 ADHD and Resilience
    May 12 2025

Episode 190 of The ADHD Adults covers the commonly cited 'people with ADHD are resilient' issue. As usual, Alex, the Psycho…….education Monkey delivers what we know the subject from what little evidence there is, Alex and James offer their personal reflections on resilience, and in answer listeners' questions in part 3. 'What has James lost, forgotten or mislaid this week?" returns with James winning 4-2 (we think). Alex got his 'German Wings' and James is “the most oldest man in the world, and bat”...

Love these two, they make me laugh and shout 'yes' throughout this podcast. In an agreement way not anything else! 😂 😂

This podcast has become a real highlight of my week. Funny and genuinely useful, it has helped me to understand myself much better than many more ‘serious’ resources. Sam, Brian Brains, and Alex are fabulous presenters, even (especially) when they’re doing it in a fabulously ADHD way.

Funny, supportive, and well researched

A great podcast, it follows a brilliant structure (kudos to them both for adhering to a structure, which I am personally pants at)
It’s tricky to identify credible, scientific insight that is relatable and explained well in plain English, which James and Alex do superbly. They demonstrate impressive achievement and the very real struggle that is experienced by someone with ADHD wiring, overlaid with good humour. Their style may not suit everyone, but I for one love it, their passion, swearing and silliness, together it gives me a channel that helps me to feel less of a dickhead and not so odd. KlaxON.

A funny AND credible, inclusive UK insight

I appreciate not only the honesty, but the information and banter help normalize ADHD. Both Alex and James do brilliant and informative SEED talks. These two are highly intelligent despite thier put downs!

So much truth!

I discovered this podcast right after my wife gently suggested I had ADHD. I had no idea what that meant but coming from a nurse who also has a degree in psychology I thought I’d better find out. This podcast has been a life changing education and has given me much needed confidence and a lot of laughs. Highly recommend.

Life changing.

I’m a psychiatrist with an interest in ADHD. This is a great podcast, giving me subtle insights into the experiences of people with ADHD that I don’t pick up on during consultations.

Engaging, entertaining and very informative

Totally love this podcast. It's the first one of the series I've listened to, but now inspired to listen to many more. Many thanks for taking the time to produce these, they are massively valuable 🙏🏽

They do a brilliant job of combining the lived experience of ADHD and the science of how and why ADHD is what it is. I feel seen and validated and I am deeply thankful for their work.
