  • The ADHD Adults Podcast (in)expertly covers ADHD in adults, sharing evidence-based information and personal experiences. Join us for balloon-headed Alex the Psychoeducation Monkey's evidence-based information, James's annoyance and genuinely poor tips for coping, and the "Queen of Chaos", Mrs ADHD. Each episode also features regular games, "jokes", correspondence from absolutely real people and chaos... lots of chaos. • Episode 189 ADHD and Routines
    May 5 2025

Back after a two week break, Episode 189 of The ADHD Adults covers building routines with ADHD. As usual, Alex, the Psycho…….education Monkey delivers on the evidence behind the subject; all three hosts offer personal reflections on routines, and in part three listeners' questions are answered (largely because it's easier than writing a part three). 'What has James lost, forgotten or mislaid this week?" returns with James winning 3-2 (or not, we're really not sure) . Alex is disinterested, not uninterested, James thinks limpets stick on shit and Mrs AuDHD does wombles a huge disservice...

  • Episode 188 ADHD and Self-Care
    Apr 14 2025

Season 3 continues, again with just the boys, as Mrs AuDHD rests... Episode 188 covers ADHD and self-care, which is very clearly one of James's strengths. As usual, Alex, the Psycho…….education Monkey vomits up the research behind the subject; Alex and James offer personal reflections on self-care , and in part three, answer listeners' questions. 'What has James lost, forgotten or mislaid this week?" returns with the scores level at 2-2 (we think). James is a bit out of his depth with this topic and the title of Alex’s sex tape is ‘5 Shades of Beige’...

  • Episode 187 ADHD and Accidents
    Apr 7 2025

Episode 187 of The ADHD Adults delves into accidents and ADHD. As usual, Alex, the Psycho…….education Monkey pontificates on the research behind the subject; all three hosts offer personal reflections on accidents and probably in the process will end up losing at least one driving license, and part three is the usual cop-out of answering listeners' questions. 'What has James lost, forgotten or mislaid this week?" doesn't really work this week as James forgot to prepare and then... well, you'll see. Alex has an easy ride with ‘the game’, James tried to manifest Alex’s ‘Hello” and Mrs AuDHD thinks she is a host on a ‘Podcode’...

Love these two, they make me laugh and shout 'yes' throughout this podcast. In an agreement way not anything else! 😂 😂

Funny, supportive, and well researched

This podcast has become a real highlight of my week. Funny and genuinely useful, it has helped me to understand myself much better than many more ‘serious’ resources. Sam, Brian Brains, and Alex are fabulous presenters, even (especially) when they’re doing it in a fabulously ADHD way.

A funny AND credible, inclusive UK insight

A great podcast, it follows a brilliant structure (kudos to them both for adhering to a structure, which I am personally pants at)
It’s tricky to identify credible, scientific insight that is relatable and explained well in plain English, which James and Alex do superbly. They demonstrate impressive achievement and the very real struggle that is experienced by someone with ADHD wiring, overlaid with good humour. Their style may not suit everyone, but I for one love it, their passion, swearing and silliness, together it gives me a channel that helps me to feel less of a dickhead and not so odd. KlaxON.

So much truth!

I appreciate not only the honesty, but the information and banter help normalize ADHD. Both Alex and James do brilliant and informative SEED talks. These two are highly intelligent despite thier put downs!

Life changing.

I discovered this podcast right after my wife gently suggested I had ADHD. I had no idea what that meant but coming from a nurse who also has a degree in psychology I thought I’d better find out. This podcast has been a life changing education and has given me much needed confidence and a lot of laughs. Highly recommend.

Engaging, entertaining and very informative

I’m a psychiatrist with an interest in ADHD. This is a great podcast, giving me subtle insights into the experiences of people with ADHD that I don’t pick up on during consultations.

I feel seen

They do a brilliant job of combining the lived experience of ADHD and the science of how and why ADHD is what it is. I feel seen and validated and I am deeply thankful for their work.
